Educo Offices

Headquarters of the NGO offices in a listed building.

The building, originally intended as a workshop and offices of a jewelry store, was later transformed into the headquarters of a well-known fashion design school.

The commission consisted of transforming the building into its new administrative use as the headquarters of the NGO Educo, taking into account that the image of the very deteriorated façade had to be recovered, an example of functionalist architecture of the 1960s in Barcelona.

The original layout is recovered, with open spaces on all floors, and the ordered furniture is arranged with the modulation of the grid of the false ceilings and exterior carpentry to which the original project also subtly responded.

The access façade on the ground floor is reopened to return to the building the idea of a transparent base that lets you see the structure and the most public use area of the program.
