House in Binisafua

Detached house facing the sea.

With Carlos Ferrater

The house is developed on a single floor in the form of a Y. This shape embraces a patio on which the different rooms are overturned and which defines, next to the main bedroom and the living room, a portico-façade that filters the immediacy of the spectacular views of the rocks and the sea. This intermediation resource is repeated on other scales with small openings both in the living room and in the bedroom over the pool. Also, with the existing staggered walls and arches, both outside and inside, this effect of dislocation/intermediation between adjoining spaces is reproduced.

The exterior skin of the house is made with white slab-like horizontal blocks – which provide subtle shadows – and gives it a domestic air integrated with the environment.
